Collaboration with the IRC

New research projects involving the IRC resources and staff are initiated through a scientific review process. A Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) comprised of senior researchers at CCHMC and University of Cincinnati, review proposals for new projects and make decisions about feasibility, cost, and priority based on the credentials of the applicants, the scientific merit of the proposal and its consistency with the mission of the IRC. Written proposals to the SAC use the IRC Proposal Form and follow the NIH-PHS-398 format. These proposals are reviewed by the SAC and must be approved before preliminary data gathering experiments can begin.

Proposals involving IRC resources and personnel submitted for funding to outside agencies must be reviewed by SAC one month prior to the submission deadline. Appropriate scanning fees must be budgeted. Contact for the current rate schedules prior to preparing your budget. We have prepared a cost-based fee schedule which is used for all projects.
